Course Position Requirements
Security course Active duty · BG & COL officers recommended from the chief of Imperial General Staff
   (Including expectants)
· Officers from military academies or similar education courses
· Officers who can serve more than 4 years after graduation
Public official (Civil official in military) /Researchers · Officials (civilian) or researchers with grade 4 or higher, who have received recommendation from a government administration minister, chairman of central personnel committee, chief of Imperial General Staff or president of an institution
Civilians · Executives of government owned institutions, education institutions, media, economic & social groups or companies
Joint staff regular course Active duty · Lieutenant colonel or expectant officers recommended by the chief of the imperial General staff
· Officers from military academies or similar education courses
· Officers who can serve more than 4 years after graduation and work in policy & management sections
Public official
(Civil official in military) /researchers
· Officials (civilians) or researchers with grade 5 and higher, who have received recommendation from a government administration minister, central personnel chairman, or the Imperial General Staff Chief of the Defense Ministry
Master's
degree
course
Active duty · Bachelor's degree holders, who received recommendation from Chief of the Imperial General Staff's (first lieutenant - major)
· Night time master's degree course is for captain or higher Officers who can serve more than 4 years after graduation and work in policy & management sections
Public official
(Civil official in military)

· Bachelor's degree holder, public officials, researchers with grade 6 or higher, who received recommendation from a government administration minister, chairman of central personnel committee, the chief of Imperial General Staff or president of an institution
· Officers who can serve more than 4 years after graduation and work in policy & management sections
Civilians · Executives of state owned institutions, education institutions, media, economic social groups or companies, who received approval from the Minister of National Defense or recommendation from the chief of a central administrative institution
