Requirements
National Security Course
Common
Must be legally allowed to take mandatory services after graduation
A candidate must have a clear identity
A candidate subjected to a disciplinary measure or referred to the disciplinary committee will be disqualified
A candidate with an experience at the course is not eligible to apply
* A candidate must meet requirements for identification
* If any aspect of disqualification is recognized after entrance, a candidate will be dismissed and will not be able to apply for the course until the next year
Military Personnel
An officer over the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (P) with a recommendation from his/her respective force's Chief of Staffs
Who has graduated from his/her respective Military Academy or an equivalent institution
Public Official
Grade IV or higher
Recommendation from either the Minister of Personnel Management, the Minister of Interior and Safety, the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Chief Justice, or the director of a constitutional agency is required
Public Official in the Military
Grade III or higher
Recommendation from either a Chief of Staffs of his/her respective force or the commander of a unit under direct control of the Ministry of National Defense is required
Researcher
Senior researcher of a research institution under the Ministry of National Defense
Recommendation from the head of his/her institution is required
Public Institutions/Associations Affiliates
Officials above dept. manager level recommended by the (Ministerial level) Director of a Central Administration Organization
Master's
Ph.D
course

Common
Master's Degree Course: BA degree holder (prospective graduate)
Ph.D Degree Course: MA degree holder, related to the subject a candidate applied (prospective graduate)
* Military personnel and public officials (including public official in the military) must be able to legally extend thier period of service after graduation
Military Personnel
Those that are selected/recommended by each force headquarters to attend KNDU MA or Ph.D course
Public Official
Recommendation required from one of the director level officials listed below:
* National/local public officials: the Minister of Personnel Management or the Minister of Interior and Safety
* Public officials at the National Assembly, the court, the Constitutional Court, or the National Election Commission: the Secretary General of the National Assembly, the Director General of the National Court Assembly, the Secretary General of the Constitutional Court, the Secretary General of the National Election Commission
Civilian
Public Institutions/Associations
Public Institutions/Associations: Those recommended by the (Ministerial level) Director of a Central Administration Organization related to the institution/association
* Institution/Associations: Educational institutions, academic societies, government invested/funded institutions, media agencies, economic/social organizations, enterprises
NSL Program
Civilians with interests in national security related studies and policies: With recommendation from the president of a candidate's respective university

Who has been recommended from either the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staffs, his/her respective force Chief of Staffs, the Commander of the Marine Corps, or the Commander of a unit under direct control of MND
Public Official
Recommendation required from one of the director level officials listed below:
* National/local public officials: the Minister of Personnel Management or the Minister of Interior and Safety
* Public officials under the National Assembly, the court, the Constitutional Court, or the National Election Commission: the Secretary General of the National Assembly, the Director General of the National Court Assembly, the Secretary General of the Constitutional Court, the Secretary General of the National Election Commission
