Academic Exchange

Purpose

A. Strengthening academic competitiveness through increasing exchanges among domestic universities and academic research institutions.

B. Improving quality of education and promoting the institution prestige by facilitating exchange and cooperation with research institutions and universities both foreign and domestic.

- Regulation on credit exchange

Regulation Content
Qualification to Apply
  • Degree holders from National Security College or the Graduate School of Defense Management.
  • Graduates from colleges or recipients of commissioned education that have scholastic exchange agreement with KNDU.
Application Date
  • Prior to start of normal semesters (Feb, Aug).
Application Process
  • Requires permission from the head-professor or an advisor; must be granted permission from the college after submitting the application.
Credit & Grade
  • Cannot take courses from another graduate school that overlaps with the applicant’s graduate school.
  • Maximum 3 credits per semester allowed from another college and 6 credits per year.
  • However, under the dean of faculty's permission, exchange and the range of credits can be increased/decreased when necessary.
Number of Applicants
  • No limit on the number of students, except when deemed necessary by the professor due to excessive number of students.
credit recognition and grade evaluation
  • credit from other universities are transferable but not calculated into grades.
  • grades are evaluated through absolute evaluation, and in accordance with university evaluation policy.
School Regulations
  • Students must adhere to school regulations. Violations may result in academic disqualification.
Use of Library
  • Students qualified for credit exchange and have been issued IDs may read or borrow books according to the library regulations.
Use of Facilities
  • Students qualified for credit exchange can use school facilities.
